What is an Actorpreneur?

1. Actress ~ I have worked on a number of feature films in Edmonton and Calgary as well as a TV pilot and a few commercials; none for Servus Credit Union competitors, of course!! =) www.LauraSeabrook.com

2. Entrepreneur ~ I started my first business in 2003, training and selling horses. In 2009, I moved on to start my own business teaching people about nutrition and offering products and services to help people improve their health.

I have just recently launched my own blog, "Inside The Mind of an Actorpreneur," designed to help new actors learn about getting started in the industry, making their own income along the way, and maintaining the optimal health that is so important to any actor’s career. www.LauraSeabrookOnline.com

Do you ever find yourself wearing a mask?

It’s human nature to cover up all the little imperfections in our lives and replace them with something closer to Perfect; maybe we think that by hiding the very things that make us human, we will find more Acceptance, Love, Admiration, Success.

But in actuality, all we find is more Isolation, because we're lying to ourselves and people can’t relate to us in our false state of Perfection.

Let's try this again...

My Life Is Sometimes Frustrating...
My Goals Are Not Always Reached ~ Sometimes I Fail...
Sometimes, Life Is A Roller Coaster ~ I Don’t Like Roller Coasters...
My Work IS My Play ~ I Do What I Love And Love What I Do...
But This Doesn't Yet Support Me To The Extent I Wish...
Each Day I Strive To Find The Essence Of Freedom...
But Sometimes, Money Still Takes Priority...
And Ya Know What? I’m Still Loving Life!! =)

You see, I've discovered something: Every Challenge that came at me was actually an Opportunity to learn and grow and come out stronger than I was before.

~ In any masterpiece, there is light AND dark.
~ Beauty is made of Contrast.
~ The most inspiring movies are stories of Sadness to Joy; Hardship to Success; Rags to Riches!

If that's what makes Masterpieces, why should we ask for anything LESS in our own lives? =) Struggles happen for a reason; but they are not forever.

And YOU own the power to start changing your circumstances TODAY and truly be Young & Free!

STEP 1 ~ If you are not living the life of your dreams, acknowledge that things are NOT perfect and changes DO need to be made.

STEP 2 ~ Imagine your perfect life. Map it out for yourself, every detail. Write a journal entry as if you are ten or twenty years in your future. What is it like? Do you live by the ocean? Travel the world? Volunteer? Date it and read it often!

STEP 3 ~ Make the decision to pursue that life, Every Day! You MUST be a dreamer; but then also be a Doer. Brainstorm ways to make your dreams reality, and learn from people who have traveled the road before you.

STEP 4 ~ Never settle! Life will never be perfect; but strive for perfection anyway! A favorite quote of mine is, "Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

So shoot for that moon! Throw away that mask! Don't hide imperfections; change them!

And Keep Loving LIFE!! =D
