Stephanie's current situation:

I'm Stephanie, I'm 23 and I am from Edmonton.

I am soon to Graduate from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice. When I am not in school I work two jobs and with the free time I have, I try to make the most of it. I hope in the future to be a musical theatre performer or break into the voice over industry.

Stephanie's blog post:

A little while ago I was doing research for the upcoming election when I came across a page about politicians and reaching out to the next generation. Being in the next generation I clicked on it and stumbled across some choice words about our generation. Or shall I say "Generation Debt!"

Sadly these words were somewhat true and if we don't fix this now there is going to be some serious problems in our and the economy's future.

I think we are called Generation Debt because we are the generation of wants as apposed to needs. If we want it we buy it.

With school expenses, living expenses, car expenses and all our wants we hardly have any money sitting in our bank accounts.

We need to learn how to better control our spending and tell the difference between wants and needs. By controlling our wants this will help us, our bank accounts and our economy’s in the future.

Stephanie
