Are you a mouse potato?
If you live in Grande Prairie, you may come across a cool (and equally puzzling) sign at the CWCU Downtown branch that reads "Are You a Mouse Potato?"

Although the term "Mouse Potato" conjures up some pretty bizarre mental images (see illustration below), it's actually a reference to someone who cozies up to their computer the same way a couch potato cozies up to their television set.
To see whether or not you are a Mouse Potato, answer the questions below, and then count how many times you answered 'True'.
True or False:
- When something strikes you as funny, you say 'LOL' out loud.
- You have attempted to point to something in the room using a mouse cursor.
- Your Sims have a better life than you do.
- You own a t-shirt promoting a website or any computer-related product/activity.
- You have instant messaged someone in the next room (or even the same room!)
- You know what Lolcats are.
- When someone asks you "What did you say?", you reply with "Scroll up".
- (For Twitter users) In everyday conversation, you address people @Mom or @Dan.
- You check the weather by doing an internet search instead of looking out the window.
- You see "facebook" as a perfectly acceptable verb.
- You spend more time watching YouTube videos than you do watching TV.
- You've Googled yourself. More than once.
To Tally Your Score:
If you answered 'True' to even one of the preceding statements, then you are indeed a Mouse Potato.
But whether you're a true Mouse Potato or just the occasional web surfer, you're always welcome to the Young & Free site! There are blog posts to read, Youtube videos to watch, money-saving tips, and several ways to stay connected.
Happy browsing!
