International Youth Internship Program
You haaaave to hear about this amazing program! This is the coolest thing I've heard about in a while. The Canadian Co-operative Association has announced the beginning of the recruitment for the 2010 International Youth Internship Program (IYIP). This is an awesome, awesome, AWESOME opportunity for graduates between the age of 19-30 who are interested in working overseas!! How sweet would that be?
This is part of the Youth Employment Strategy from the Government of Canada. Each intern gets travel and living expenses PAID FOR, for the six-month overseas placement. Check out this website for more information and to look at the cool positions available!!
To be eligible for the International Youth Internship Program, an intern must:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally entitled to work in Canada
- Be a post-secondary graduate
- Be out of school
- Be between the ages of 19 and 30
- Be unemployed or underemployed
- Have not participated in an internship with the Career Focus stream of the Government of Canada's Youth Employment Strategy (YES)
Hurry though! The deadline is July 19th!! You must submit an application form and two reference forms (click here), a cover letter and CV to interns@coopscanada.coop. And again, by July 19th! That is this Monday!
There are only so many times in your life where you can travel. But this way you can get it paid for! So get out there and take advantage of this super cool program! This is a once and a lifetime experience!
