It's my first official day as spokester!

Hello hello!

I am so happy that I get to start my new job as Spokester today! This is going to be such an incredible year! I can just tell already. Is anyone else as excited as I am? I hope so!

To all those in the Calgary, Lethbridge, Red Deer (and everywhere in between) region right now…I feel your pain. Only in Alberta would we get hit with a massive blizzard just 2 days before May! I drove home to Calgary from Edmonton last night and it did not go so well. I am at home right now, all warm and cozy by the fireplace, but my car was not so lucky. It is currently stuck in a ditch somewhere close to Airdrie! And so this story leads me to my first ever official financial tip…

Do not get your car stuck in a ditch during a blizzard!

Ha! But seriously, tow trucks are sooo expensive! This is definitely an unnecessary expense. If you were planning on driving on a highway in Alberta today…DON’T. You will save yourself a lot of cash! It really isn’t fun getting your car stuck and not to mention it is just plain unsafe out there.

Anyways, I figured you all would probably like to know me a little better since you are stuck with me for the next year. As you already know, I just finished my 3rd year at the University of Alberta. I am in a little program called Human Ecology, which actually translates into Fashion Marketing. I absolutely love my program! If you ever have any questions about it or want to know more, just send me a quick e-mail! 

This summer I will be representing all of you of course but I am also playing on a recreational softball team and soccer team! I have never played in a rec league before so I am really excited to try it out! I’ve heard that it is a blast and I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes! Have any of you joined any teams for the summer?

But overall, I am just a normal kid like you. I like to sleep, hang out with friends, and go on Facebook too! Who would have guessed!
