Lloydminster Colonial Days & Calgary Stampede

Just over a week ago I visited Lloydminster for the Colonial Days. I had an awesome time meeting lots of Young & Free Albertans over the two days I was there. I also got the opportunity to meet and introduce Down With Webster and Fefe Dobson, which was a really cool experience. Then, the day after I was at Colonial Days, I got to hit up the Calgary Stampede. I love the Stampede. Literally, I have been every year of my life. My mom even took me when I was only a new born. I checked out the chuckwagons, the rodeo, the grandstand show, lots of games and booths and of course ate tons of great food.

And of course I got to tell everyone about all the great things Young & Free Alberta has going on. Obviously everyone was interested in the scholarship program (who doesn't love getting a little extra money). We had lots of entries this year and now voting is in full swing. If you want to check out the entries and vote for your favourite to try and help them win one of three iPads click here.

The video from my little jaunt across Alberta is below so check it out and let me know what you think.

It's going to be a good week, I can feel it,
Dex
