Video: Party in the Park
Y&F Alberta TeamOn Saturday, August 31, Rotary Park in Whitecourt was taken over by people of all ages who wanted to Rock the day away. Party in the Park is an event that brings people from the community together at the end of summer for a huge celebration.
I hosted a Guitar Hero booth to help raise money for the Whitecourt Skateboard Society. We asked that if people wanted to play they make a donation to the local club. The Skateboard Society is trying to raise money to help fund their new skateboard park that is currently being constructed. Total donations we received were $235.91. Way to go Whitecourt Rockers!!
Other cool stuff that took place at Party in the Park:
- Live local bands and singers
- Highlight Band "April Wine"
- Kids games
- Hot Air balloon rides
- Wolverines Hockey dunk tank
