I remember the transition from high school to university. It was a big step but for some reason I didn't think about the huge financial stages that I would have to go through. All I could think about was who I would meet at school, what my classes would be like and if I could handle moving away from home. I just wasn't too worried about what my financial situation would look like.

But I quickly learned that I would have to budget well in order to have my money last for the full year.
