Scholarship Essay Entry – Stephanie S.

My dreams are going to make the world a better place because I care. I am going into my third year of my BScN program and when I am done I plan to use all my knowledge and skills to help people become healthy and stay healthy. I have the dream to be the best nurse and to change at least one life. My clinical experiences in school have made it so that my dream can come true. I will do anything from Maternity to public health bring knowledge and support to patients and their families. I plan to change the world one patient at a time and bring hope and health to as many people as I can. My dreams will most likely keep me in Canada although I know that so many around the world need competent care. Perhaps when I am older my dreams will change and I will take my knowledge and skills that I am learning in school and help the people around the world. I believe that we can all be healthy as long as we have the right support. I plan to be that support. My ultimate dream is to work either in Maternity or Public health. But no matter where I end up will one smile and one caring minute I hope to make this world a better place for all, and show that health care can be a positive experience if you want it to be. Finally, with my dreams and goals my final vision is for a healthy Canada and this will only be possible through health promotion a topic that has always interested me in school. One day I will be able to call myself a Registered Nurse and I will be ready to take on all of the challenges and obstacles that may come my way and conquer them to make Canadians happy and healthy!
