How does your design express the idea of building a better community?

Red is a strong symbolism as life and vitality. It brings focus to the essence of life and living with emphasis on survival. Red is also the color of passion and lust. Basically, red defines life and I think “there is a reason for everybody’s (animals too) existence in this world”. (I took this quote from Lin Yu Chun)

Turquoise holds the growth quality of green with the blue quality of communication. Turquoise has been used in amulets to offer protection, health, confidence and strength.  When given “turquoise gemstones” to a friend, that stone will protect that person. I believe that like people, we should save and protect all animals (amulets or no amulets). This color represents protection and strength, which a lot of charities and organizations are doing, example: Rescue Ink. This particular group are a group of “muscle built” men who give animals a voice, which in a way is one of turquoise’s “qualities”. They also offer their STRENGTH and friendship to animals that are in critical conditions.

White is a color that represents a new beginning. In order for us to move ahead in life, is if we care for the environment and treat others (this includes animals) the way we want to be treated.

The theme of this project was “A better tomorrow” and my idea of a better tomorrow is to stop animal testing and animal abuse. My idea is one of the many ideas out there. There are many ways for a better tomorrow, such as: Recycle, less pollution (ride buses, jog to work instead of driving a car), and there are many more. I think that if we follow the meanings of the above colors, (There are a lot more colors that have positive meaning btw), we WILL make a better tomorrow.
