T-Shirt Design Entry 30 – Cody T.

How does your design express the idea of building a better community?

I believe that change can start with individuals. You do not need to do something big to change the world; small changes will grow  and spread throughout the world. Each of us as individuals must do something to spread change across the world.

My t-shirt design builds on the Servus Credit Union “Fell Good Ripple” campaign. I believe that this is a great idea on how we can bring change to the world starting with small things that will hopefully have a ripple effect and turn in to bigger changes.

My design includes the “Feel Good Ripple” logo behind the world. This signifies that one small step to change the world will start the ripple of bigger and better changes. The world is being held by a pair of hands, which is also the credit union symbol, and it signifies that the world is in our hands and that we have the power to make changes that will have a positive effect throughout the world. The world also has some change being deposited into it which is a play on word’s indicating that we need to make a contribution to the world to make it a better place. On the back of the shirt I have included the “Feel Good Ripple’s” slogan of “long live the ripple…” which reminds us that we must keep the ripple alive to see the changes to affect and the three small ripples represent many new ripples .

We all must do our part and “Start the Ripple.”
